How can you help us?

We seek a Site Reliability Engineer to manage our systems performance, availability, efficiency, change management, monitoring and capacity planning. You will work on platforms hosted on-premises, cloud-based or managed service.

In this role, you will be at the centre of OutSystems' growth as a business, enabling other teams to go to market and serve (internal and external) customers with excellence.

In the course of your job, we expect you to:
Integrate an operations team serving multiple worldwide locations with mission-critical requirements;

Collaborate and liaison with multiple teams, Service Reliability, Network, Database, Data, R&D, Support, Development, Experts, Cloud and Service Delivery, inside the organization to build a superior service for customers, both internal and external;

Manage, monitor, and develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors in the infrastructure landscape and assure the control and accomplishment of its service level agreements;

Provide deep technical expertise in infrastructure solutions with scalability and focus on performance, reliability, automation and security;

Create procedures to ensure performance and service-level requirements are met;

Guarantee the resolution of production issues including tuning, optimization and recovery;

Assure High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions to maximize platform availability during planned or unplanned outages;

Challenge the use and develop automation tools to automate repetitive tasks;

Respond appropriately to emergency incident situations and produce quick and effective solutions to technical problems.

REQUIREMENTS

We think you’ll be a good fit if you have these skills and traits or are willing to develop them:

Cloud-based virtualization environments from AWS or Azure (Mandatory);

Azure DevOps or similar technologies (Mandatory);

Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or JavaScript;

Orchestrators or configuration managers such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform;

Monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar;

Containers, preferably Kubernetes and Dockers in AWS or Azure;

OutSystems Platform administration;

Sitecore administration;

Manage Windows and Linux servers;

Manage and monitor relationships with infrastructure services and tool vendors;

Capable to act at different moments either as an hands-on infrastructure expert, a collaborative expert or a demanding service client among partners depending on the situational need;

Collaborative approach to address issues based on continuous open communication;

Disciplined approach to problem solving and project execution;

Passion for cloud technologies and high-performance or high-availability solutions;

Appetite for learning new technologies and constantly improving technical skills.
